With continuous development of varieties in fields in Spain, Israel, Thailand and USA, we stand at the forefront of resistance packages and high potential yields in our seeds.

Our R+D team works everyday to develop seed varieties that fulfill the requirements that professional growers need.

Vitagro Seeds puts all its effort into testing our varieties in different conditions, with the goal of providing high-quality seeds.

Disease resistance developments

One of the main strategies of our improvement programs has been the gradual use of resistances to viruses in our materials, without forgetting those agronomic characters of commercial interest.

Right now, we are working on developing varieties with complete disease resistance packages such as:

Indeterminate Tomatoes

Saladette (Roma) Type

  • Z-925: Indeterminate plant, very vigorous, intermediate maturity, fruit weight of 170-200grs. Oval fruit shape, very firm. R: N, V, F1, F2, F3, TMV, TYLCV
  • Z-926: Indeterminate plant, early maturity, fruit weight of 160-190grs, very firm. R: N, V, F1, F2, TMV, TSWV, TYLCV.
  • Z-9503: Indeterminate plant, with a fruit weight of 140-160gr. Cylindrical fruit shape with great taste, very large shelf life and very productive. Ideal for single or cluster picking and export markets. R: V, N, F1, F2, TYLCV, TMV
  • Z-TS-1105:  Indeterminate plant, with a fruit weight of 100-140gr, matures to PINK COLOR. Ideal for specialty export markets.

Beef (Round) Type

  • IR-17003: Indeterminate plant, early maturity, 4-5 fruits per cluster, globe shape, 300-350grs, firm, uniform color, long shelf life. R: V, F1, F2, FOR, TYLCV, TMV.
  • IR-17006: Indeterminate plant, very productive, 5-6 fruits per cluster, globe shape, 250-300grs, firm, uniform color, long shelf life. R: V, F1, F2, TYLCV, TMV.
  • IR-TOV-17007: Indeterminate and vigorous plant, 5-6 fruits per cluster, ideal for TOV (Cluster), 160-180grs, firm, uniform color, long shelf life. R: V, F1, F2, TYLCV, TMV.

Cherry and Grape Type

  • TS-55: Indeterminate plant, cherry form, ideal for greenhouse or open field, fruit weight 12-15gr, intense yellow color.  Very productive variety, 7-8 Brix, with superb fruit taste and very fleshy.
  • TS-101: Indeterminate plant, grape form, ideal for greenhouse or open field, fruit weight 10-15gr, intense red color.  Very productive variety, 7-8 Brix, with superb fruit taste and very fleshy. R: V, TMV, TYLCV.
  • TS-102: Indeterminate plant, grape form, ideal for greenhouse or open field, fruit weight 10-15gr, intense red color.  Very productive variety, 7-8 Brix, with superb fruit taste and very fleshy. R: V, F1, F2, F3, TMV, TYLCV.

 

Determinate Tomatoes

Saladette (Roma) Type

  • DT-22: Very early plant, fruit weight avg. 150gr, very firm. Ideal for hot and humid areas V, N, F1, F2, F3, TMV, TYLCV.
  • RD-480: Strong, vigorous and very productive plant, fruits weight avg. 150grs, firm and good shelf life. R: V, N, F1, F2, TMV, TYLCV, TMV.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hot Pepper

Jalapeño Type

  • JP-101: Hybrid variety, vigorous plant, maturity at 80 days. Produces XL fruits (4-4.5 inches), thick walls, cylindrical shape, dark green color and high pungency. Do not present fruit cracking. R: BLS
  • JP-102: Hybrid variety, vigorous plant, maturity at 70-75 days. Produces XL fruits (4-4.5 inches), thick walls, cylindrical shape, dark green color and high pungency. Do not present fruit cracking.
  • JP-103: Hybrid variety, very productive, fruits 3.5-4″, ideal for process markets. Resistanto to BLS and cracking: R: BLS

Serrano Type

  • S-27: Hybrid serrano pepper, very productive, large fruits (4 inches), high pungency. R: BLS

 Bell Pepper

Greenhouse

  • SP-006 (Yellow): Blocky type ideal for greenhouse production, fruits 180-200grs, mature from green to yellow, ideal for long shipments. TMV, TSWV.
  • SP-007 (Orange): Blocky type ideal for greenhouse production, fruits 190-220 grs, mature from green to orange, ideal por export market. RMV, TSWV.

 

 

 

 

 Melon

Cantaloupe Type

  • M-302: Cantaloupe hybrid, very vigorous plant, large fruits, avg. sizes 6´s and 9´s, Very defined net, good taste, Brix avg. 12.5 and 6.5 psi.

Cucumber

Slicer Parthenocarpic Type

  • CU-911: Slicer parthenocarpic variety, excellent sizes for fresh market 20-25cms. Minimum spines and very productive. R: CVYV, CMV, PM, TLS

 Brocoli

  • BR-22: High domeed-shaped head. Small and fine dark green beads. Compact, short branching habit, with more weight in the head and a smooth dome. Harvested in 85-90 days after transplantig. Excellent post harvest quality after cutting. Very popular crwon cut market. Widely adapted for cooler conditions.
  • BR-30: It can be harvested 80 days after transplanting and 88 days in cold weather. It is a very fine variety with small grains, middle-late maturity, offers great adaptability and productivity.
  • BR-34: Hybrid that can be harvested at 80 days after transplantation in temperate conditions and 90 days in cold conditions. It is a winter variety.
